As this is my final flower for my daily illustration project, une fleur à chaque jour, I thought I would write a little post about the journey. For me, personally, this project was very rewarding because it helped me grow in more ways than I first imagined it would. Beyond the discipline, it helped me with patience and confidence, and with what I expect of myself as an artist. My art teachers used to tell us to draw every day and you know what? They were right. Thinking and expressing yourself creatively every day builds a kind of muscle memory. This process has been thrilling for me, and, I have to say, I'm pretty chuffed with myself for sticking with it and I'm pretty proud of my work this year. Thank you to those of you who have been following me on this journey, I hope you've enjoyed seeing my flora every day and I look forward to sharing more projects with you in the new year. Here's to reflection on things that have gone before and anticipation and excitement for things yet to come.
